Mid-Atlantic Conference on Personalized Learning


 February 29 to March 2, the Mid-Atlantic Conference on Personalized Learning
  The Capital Area Intermediate Unit is co-hosting the Mid-Atlantic Conference on Personalized Learning with iNACOL at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.  

Registration is now open for the Mid-Atlantic Conference on Personalized Learning (MACPL), held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland. This regional conference is intended for those designing next generation, personalized learning models in the mid-Atlantic and northeast regions of the United States. Jointly organized by the Capital Area Intermediate Unit in partnership with iNACOL, this regional conference features over 60 sessions focused on K-12 personalized learning.  The event will feature keynotes from Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL, and Dr. Gayle Allen, an expert on leadership, learning, and change. Sessions will explore the following main themes: 

  • Blended Learning
  • Competency Education
  • ESSA and its Implications
  • Instructional Practices
  • New Learning Models
  • Online Learning
  • Personalized Learning
  • Personalized Professional Development
  • Research & Evaluation
  • School Models

In addition to the keynote and sessions, attendees will be provided the opportunity to visit the Baltimore County Public School system to discern how the Strategic Framework for Transformation is creating a fundamental shift in teaching and learning. Attendees will visit two schools participating in the Students and Teachers Accessing Tomorrow (STAT) initiative to see how they are personalizing learning for their students.  

Attendees include regional educational experts and leaders pioneering next generation K-12 teaching and learning, including school and district leaders, educators, researchers and organizations involved in creating personalized learning opportunities.
